Term two reflection post
This term we made a lot of improvements in our knowledge in the field we want to specialise in. We had modules of Art Portfolio, EAP as well as 2D&3D. This blog is dedicated to Art Portfolio and it taught us to research and record our work, to make sure we developed self-reflection, so we could improve from that point. I was analysing and recording the story, topics, and emotions behind each piece. This process not only connected me to my artwork but also opened my own thoughts and feelings.
I found this module very beneficial, because it taught me consistency and discipline, although I have a lot more to learn about these principles. Another essential skill I was learning on this module, is time management. Balancing the creation of my projects, nearing deadlines, and refining my portfolio required planning and organization. It caused my student experience a great amount of stress and anxiety, but I faced my fears and learned a lesson from it.
One of the key lessons from this module is experimentation. I was trying new techniques, materials, and ways to create art. The experimentation not only improved my skills but also helped me understand what I like and my strengths as an artist.
In conclusion, the art portfolio module has been a transforming experience. From making my projects and reflecting on them to fighting my bad habits, each aspect of this journey has contributed to my growth as a student and an artist.
