Ever since I got a laptop, I played the game Sims 4 and Sims 3, and I loved customising houses, rooms and people in it. HomeByMe is just like sims, but more professional, which is not taking away from the experience in any way.
First I started with the earlier-made floor plan.

Then I added the floor and wall base material through the decorate button.
At this point I was overwhelmed with how much I need to add and was paralised for a moment, but remembered that choosing and doing things one by one, solving problem as they come and not rushing to do it all is the key to starting the work - once you start it will slide like butter from there on.
I chose the bathroom first, because I knew what to do with it and it was the lightest piece of the whole design.

Then I went to the cellar area, which is also a minimalistic room with storage furniture.
Now was the time to do the hardest parts - the open space.
I created a collection to add and save items I wanna use from the catalogue.
HomeByMe had very conveniently sorted out categories, but I found it was easier to write a style of decor you want to narrow down the search.
For example, I wrote "oriental" and founf the exact dishes and carpets I wanted to use.
This is me selecting three carpets I wanted to use amongst all the selection HomeByMe has.
This is the process of me adding details to the design.
The process was mostly me searching through the catalogue and basing on the decor research as well as my own liking, and trying to find furniture that is at least similar to ones I planned to use.
The finished result:

I purchased a 3D render of my design.

You have written this but you have not shown your design or any of the process of how you created it - please add your work - please remember the blog is 70% of the mark and at present there is not enough here to pass.
ReplyDeleteOkay you have added this _ I still don't think homebyme was the right software for this but you have a design - you rally need more technical detail on your posts about how you created this on homebyme and tools used
