Major project: The use of images in graphic design

Whether an image depicts an actual object, person, or location, or something more abstract, images are incredibly powerful instruments for communication. As they say, "an image is worth a thousand words," we present images with more communication potential than other elements. By providing meaning and inspiring associations, images in graphic design can clarify the information offered in a layout and assist the reader establish a connection with the text. According to C. Esposito, imagery can be divided into four types: photographs, illustrations, drawings and graphics.

Icons and brands are examples of graphics—images that attempt to communicate a concept with a limited number of elements. In contrast to pictures, graphics are frequently oversimplified to just shapes and symbols that convey the subject matter.

Photos are thought to depict reality or are connected to documentation. They are solid, unadulterated, eco-friendly, and trustworthy.

Even though they are naturalistic, illustrations are viewed as "created" and intimate, readily revealing the process of creation. They arouse fantasy, depict idealized or impossibly perfect scenarios, and convey their subject matter in a subjective manner.

The goal of a design drawings is to convey your ideas to others as simply as possible. They are meant to illustrate concepts of the design in a more traditional way.

In my website I will mostly use images of clothing and monotone backgrounds.
