Major project: Typography

What is typography in graphic design?

"Typography is the strategic arrangement of type in order to make written language readable and visually appealing."  (Stephanie Corrigan, 2023)
One of the most crucial abilities that any graphic and online designer should possess is the art of typography. It is essential to all forms of design, digital and print.

In graphic design, typography serves two primary functions. The first is to make a design piece more readable, and the second is to help in expressing the message, tone, and emotion of the design. Aesthetics is another role that typography plays. Clear, aesthetically pleasing designs that are easy on the eyes lure us in. On the other hand, we avoid designs that are messy, complicated, or that strain our eyes. Thus, learning how to employ typography in graphic design efficiently is in both our and our clients' best interests. (Stephanie Corrigan, 2023)

My site will use minimalistic typography that will be extremely readable and will not take too much attention on itself since the site is already made in a particular style and minimalistic typography will make room for more intense designs on my site, thus making the site not look messy and appealing to the eye of the viewer even with a non - typical style.
